If you’re an NDIS participant, plan manager, or provider, you might have noticed a few things looking a little different on your invoices lately.
Each year, the NDIA reviews the prices providers can charge for supports, and this year’s update took effect from 1 July 2026.
Here’s what changed and what it actually means for you.
What’s Changed
This is a routine yearly update, not a one-off event. The main change for most participants is an increase to Support Worker prices, which follows the Fair Work Commission’s annual wage review.
Super has also increased, goiung from 11.5% to 12%.
- Support Worker rates have increased in line with the Fair Work Commission’s 2026 wage decision.
- Superannuation has risen from 11.5% to 12%.
- The changes took effect from 1 July 2026.
What This Means for Your Services
The good news is the NDIA has increased plan funding to cover these changes, so your day to day services should not be affected. In short, if you use a support worker, you might see a small increase in the price charged for their time, and your funding has been adjusted to reflect that.
You shouldn’t need to do anything differently.
If you’re plan managed or NDIA managed, your plan manager or the NDIA will apply the updated rates automatically. If you’re self managed, it’s worth double checking the current price limits so you know what to expect when paying invoices.
Why This Happens Every Year
Price reviews like this one exist to keep pace with wage growth, so support workers are paid fairly for the work they do, and providers can continue to deliver quality support without cutting corners. It’s a routine part of how the scheme stays sustainable, not a sign that anything is going wrong with your plan.
