We are now officially a registered NDIS Provider (ID: 4053372187) and can deliver Supported Independent Living (SIL) in Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) properties.
This means more choice for people in the Sunshine Coast and Gympie NDIS communities, with safe, purpose-built homes and support services that make independent living possible.
What is Supported Independent Living (SIL)?
Supported Independent Living (SIL) is NDIS-funded support for people who need help with daily tasks to live more independently. It’s most common in shared homes and includes:
- Personal care and support.
- Meal preparation and cooking.
- Cleaning and household tasks.
- Building everyday skills.
SIL isn’t about taking over your life, it’s about giving you the right level of support so you can live with independence and dignity.
What is SIL housing?
SIL is usually provided in SDA (Specialist Disability Accommodation) properties. These homes are designed to make life easier, safer, and more accessible, with features like:
- Accessible kitchens and bathrooms.
- Wide doorways and hallways for mobility aids.
- Safety features such as call systems.
- Shared areas for connection with housemates and staff.
